Editorial book design for a children's storybook focusing on teaching newly diagnosed kids about Type 1 Diabetes.
I designed this book for children who have been newly diagnosed with Juvenile Type 1 Diabetes to be able to immediately upon diagnosis have access to something that they can relate to and feel less alone in their diagnosis. This book was inspired from struggles I faced when I was diagnosed with T1D at the age of nine with not understanding the scientific overwhelming terms of this diagnosis, and the story evolved from that beginning.
